Pilos is a private-label brand exclusively managed by the German international discount retailer Lidl. The brand was established to provide high-quality dairy products, ranging from milk and yogurt to cheese and condensed milk, at competitive prices for the European market.

Because Pilos is a store brand, it does not own its own factories. Instead, manufacturing is outsourced to various regional dairy processing companies across Europe. Depending on where the product is purchased, it may be produced in countries like Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, or France to ensure supply chain efficiency and product freshness.

The brand is under the ultimate ownership of the Schwarz Group, one of the largest retail groups in the world. Headquartered in Neckarsulm, Germany, the Schwarz Group manages both Lidl and Kaufland, positioning Pilos as a central component of their private-label strategy across their global retail network.
