Figaro is a historic chocolate brand that traces its roots back to 1958 in Trnava, Slovakia. Originally established as a state-owned confectionery factory, it became one of the most recognizable sweet brands in the former Czechoslovakia. The brand has maintained a strong presence in the Slovak and Czech markets for over six decades, particularly known for its baking chocolates and assorted pralines.

Over the years, the brand transitioned from local ownership to international corporate stewardship. Following the privatization era, it eventually became part of the Kraft Foods portfolio, which was later restructured into Mondelēz International. Today, Mondelēz International manages the Figaro brand, leveraging its extensive heritage while integrating it into a global supply chain.

While the brand's heritage is deeply Slovak, manufacturing now occurs across multiple Mondelēz facilities in Europe to optimize production. This ensures that the traditional recipes, characterized by their high cocoa content and suitability for traditional Central European desserts, reach a wide consumer base across the region under the oversight of one of the world's largest snack companies.
