The Opel Corsa Electric, formerly known as the Corsa-e, is the battery electric version of Opel's long-standing Corsa hatchback line. This sixth generation (Corsa F) marks a significant turning point as the first developed under the ownership of Groupe PSA (now Stellantis).
The model is primarily manufactured at the Stellantis Zaragoza Plant in Figueruelas, Spain. This facility is the global production hub for the Corsa, utilizing the Common Modular Platform (CMP) which allows for both combustion and electric variants to be assembled on the same line.
Historically a subsidiary of General Motors for nearly 90 years, Opel was acquired by the French PSA Group in 2017. Following the 2021 merger between PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Opel became a key brand within Stellantis, a multinational automotive giant headquartered in the Netherlands. This ownership structure consolidates several European and American brands under a single corporate umbrella to share technology and manufacturing costs.
