Kips Vega Paté is a plant-based version of the traditional Dutch liver pâté, catering to the growing vegan and vegetarian market in the Netherlands. The brand Kips has a long-standing history in the Dutch food industry, dating back to 1910 when it was first established in Amsterdam. Over the decades, it became famous for its iconic liver sausage commercials featuring the slogan 'Liever Kips leverworst'.

Today, Kips is part of the Zwanenberg Food Group, a major Dutch food manufacturer based in Almelo. The production of Kips products, including their extensive range of vegetarian and vegan meat alternatives, takes place primarily in the Netherlands. The Zwanenberg Food Group is a privately held family business that has expanded its operations internationally, but Kips remains one of its most recognizable domestic Dutch brands.
