Windsor Salt is a quintessential Canadian brand with a legacy dating back to 1893, originally established in Windsor, Ontario. Known for its iconic castle logo, the brand serves as Canada's leading salt provider for industrial and consumer use. The production primarily takes place within Canada, leveraging major mining and evaporator facilities in locations like Pugwash, Nova Scotia, and Lindbergh, Alberta.

Over the decades, the brand has seen several transitions in ownership. After being part of the Morton Salt family for many years, it and its parent company were acquired as part of K+S Group. Most recently, following a significant acquisition in 2021, the brand fell under the stewardship of Stone Canyon Industries Holdings and its subsidiary, Kissner Group Holdings (now known as Morton Salt, Inc.), ensuring its continued dominance in the North American salt market.
