Rothmans of London Core Blue cigarettes

Rothmans is a historic British brand of cigarettes, established in 1890 in London by Louis Rothman. Originally a small kiosk on Fleet Street, it grew into a global symbol of British tobacco heritage. Over the decades, the brand gained international fame for its premium tobacco blends and was notably associated with a Royal Warrant granted by King Edward VII.

In the late 20th century, the brand underwent significant corporate changes. In 1999, Rothmans International was acquired by British American Tobacco (BAT), one of the largest tobacco companies in the world. Today, Rothmans is part of BAT's strategic portfolio, manufactured in numerous facilities globally to serve local markets. In Brazil, it is managed and produced by Souza Cruz, a prominent subsidiary of British American Tobacco, following strict local regulations and packaging requirements.
