Marabou is an iconic Swedish chocolate brand established in 1916. The Apelsinkrokant variety is one of its most popular flavors, featuring smooth milk chocolate combined with orange-flavored crisp. The brand was originally created by the Norwegian chocolate maker Johan Throne Holst, who expanded his Freia business into Sweden.

While the brand holds a deep-rooted historical connection to Sweden, it is no longer an independent Swedish company. Today, Marabou is owned by the global snacks giant Mondelēz International. Production for the Nordic market primarily takes place in the Mondelēz factory in Upplands Väsby, located just north of Stockholm, Sweden, maintaining its local heritage through domestic manufacturing.
