Pitsos is a historic Greek brand that has been a household name in Greece for over 150 years. Founded in 1865 in Athens, the company initially started as a small factory producing small oil heaters and stoves. Over the decades, it grew to become the leading manufacturer of white goods in Greece, known for its durable and reliable domestic appliances. For many years, Pitsos was synonymous with Greek industrial excellence.
In the latter half of the 20th century, the brand entered into a partnership and eventual acquisition by German industrial giants. Since 2015, the brand has been under the full ownership of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. While the brand carries a strong Greek heritage, the production facility in Rentis, Greece, was closed in early 2021, shifting manufacturing primarily to other BSH facilities across Turkey and Europe. Today, Pitsos continues to serve the Greek market with a wide range of kitchen and laundry appliances, backed by German engineering while maintaining its historical Greek identity.
As part of the BSH group, Pitsos operates alongside other world-renowned brands like Bosch, Siemens, and Neff. This integration allows the brand to benefit from global research and development, ensuring that while the products are marketed heavily toward Mediterranean consumers, they incorporate the latest technological advancements in energy efficiency and smart home integration.
