Fendt Vario tractor

Fendt is a leading German manufacturer of agricultural machinery, primarily known for its high-performance Vario tractors. Founded in 1930 by the Fendt brothers in Marktoberdorf, Bavaria, the brand established itself as a pioneer in tractor technology, most notably with the introduction of the Vario stepless transmission in the 1990s.

In 1997, the Fendt family sold the company to the American AGCO Corporation. Today, the main production facility remains in Marktoberdorf, Germany, where the majority of Fendt tractors are developed and manufactured. As part of the AGCO Group, Fendt operates as a premium global brand, benefiting from the resources of a large multinational while maintaining its distinct German engineering heritage and local manufacturing roots.
