Lipton Lide

Lipton Lide is a specific line of the globally recognized Lipton tea brand, often focused on instant or powdered beverage solutions. The Lipton brand traces its history back to the late 19th century when Sir Thomas Lipton established his tea empire in Glasgow, Scotland, with the goal of making tea an affordable beverage for the general public.

Today, the ownership of Lipton is divided. While Unilever previously owned the brand entirely, the majority of the tea business, including Lipton, was sold to CVC Capital Partners in 2022, forming a new standalone company called Liptea (formerly Ekaterra). In some regions, ready-to-drink bottled tea products are managed through a long-standing joint venture with PepsiCo.

Manufacturing for Lipton products is decentralized to serve local markets efficiently. Production facilities are located across several continents, including major hubs in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and India. This local manufacturing strategy helps maintain freshness and reduces the carbon footprint associated with international shipping.
