Founded in 1815 by Robert Cockburn to secure a supply of the finest wine for his family's wine merchant business in Leith, Scotland, the brand has grown into one of the most recognizable names in the Port industry. The 'Special Reserve' label, introduced in 1969, revolutionized the market by creating a premium category of Port that sits between Ruby and Vintage styles.

The production of this product remains strictly within the Douro region of Portugal, where the grapes are grown and the wine is fortified and aged.
