Rohozec Prometheus beer

Rohozec Prometheus is a traditional Czech pale lager (světlý ležák) brewed in the historic Malý Rohozec brewery located near Turnov. The brewery's roots date back to 1850 when Ferdinard Unger founded it. It has a long-standing reputation for utilizing regional ingredients and local water sources from the Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj) area. After various ownership changes during the 20th century, including state ownership during the communist era, the brewery was privatized and eventually became part of Pivovar Rohozec, a.s. Today, it remains an independent regional brewery in the Czech Republic, known for its commitment to traditional brewing methods without the mass-production influence of global beverage conglomerates.
