Indesit Refrigerator

Founded in 1975 in Italy as Merloni Elettrodomestici, Indesit has grown into a major European household appliance brand. It gained international prominence for its reliable and accessible kitchen appliances.

Historically an Italian power house, the brand's ownership shifted significantly in 2014 when the Whirlpool Corporation acquired a majority stake. However, a major industry consolidation occurred in 2023-2024. Beko B.V. (a subsidiary of Turkey's Arçelik) and Whirlpool EMEA merged to create a new entity called Beko Europe. As part of this transition, the Indesit brand is now part of the Beko Europe portfolio. Manufacturing for Indesit products is distributed across various European and global facilities, notably in Poland, Turkey, and Italy.
