Schlappeseppel is a traditional German beer brand with a history dating back to 1631 during the Thirty Years' War, founded by a soldier named 'Lame Seppel' (Schlappe Seppel). The product is brewed in Bavaria, specifically in the Aschaffenburg region. In 1999, the Eder & Heylands Brauerei merged the brand into its portfolio. Today, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Eder & Heylands Brauerei, a family-owned regional brewing group based in Großostheim, Germany. The beer continues to be produced in Germany, adhering to the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law), emphasizing local heritage and traditional brewing methods.
