Bindi, officially known as 'Bindi Fantasia nel Dessert', was founded in 1946 by Attilio Bindi and his sons in Milan, Italy. Starting as a small pastry shop, it quickly evolved into a pioneer of high-quality frozen desserts, revolutionizing the restaurant industry by providing pre-prepared Italian patisserie that maintained artisanal standards.
Bindi products are primarily manufactured in Italy, specifically at their state-of-the-art facility in San Giuliano Milanese. This production hub ensures that the authentic Italian heritage and traditional recipes are preserved before being exported to dozens of countries worldwide. The brand is a staple in the global foodservice sector, supplying restaurants and hotels with high-end cakes, sorbets, and pastries.
In 2020, Bindi was acquired by BC Partners, a leading international investment firm, through its portfolio company Forno d'Asolo Group. In 2024, it was announced that ICG (Intermediate Capital Group) would acquire the Forno d’Asolo Group, including the Bindi brand, to further consolidate its position as a global leader in frozen bakery and pastry products.
