Tyrrells is a premium British snack brand founded in 2002 by William Chase at Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire, England. The brand gained international acclaim for its hand-cooked potato crisps, often featuring vintage-style black and white photography on its packaging to emphasize its artisanal heritage.
Over the years, the brand has transitioned through several owners. It was first sold to Langholm Capital in 2008, then to Investcorp in 2013, followed by Amplify Snack Brands in 2016. In 2018, Tyrrells was acquired by KP Snacks, a subsidiary of the German-based Intersnack Group.
Today, Tyrrells continues to manufacture its products primarily in the United Kingdom, specifically at its original site in Herefordshire. The brand maintains its focus on high-quality ingredients and traditional slow-cooking methods while being part of a large European snack conglomerate.
