BiFi is a well-known brand of meat snacks, primarily famous for its small, dry-fermented salami sausages. The brand was originally launched in Germany in 1972 by the company Schafft Fleischwerke. Over the decades, it became a staple convenience snack across Europe, known for its distinctive yellow packaging and iconic marketing campaigns.
While the brand was founded under German ownership, it has undergone several corporate transitions. For many years, it was part of the Unilever portfolio. However, in 2014, BiFi was acquired by Jack Link's, an American global snack food company. Despite this American ownership, the production remains largely centered in Germany, specifically at the manufacturing facility in Ansbach, Bavaria, ensuring the brand maintains its traditional quality and taste profile for the European market.
