Pringles is a globally recognized brand of potato and wheat-based snacks, originally developed by Procter & Gamble in the United States during the 1960s. The brand is famous for its unique hyperbolic paraboloid shape and iconic cylindrical canister packaging, which was designed to prevent chips from breaking and to provide a consistent flavor experience.
While the brand originated in the United States, Pringles are now manufactured in multiple locations worldwide to serve different regional markets, including major facilities in Belgium, Poland, and the United States. Following its acquisition from Procter & Gamble in 2012, the brand became a flagship product for Kellogg Company. In 2023, Kellogg Company split into two entities, placing Pringles under the ownership of Kellanova. In a more recent industry shift, Kellanova was acquired by Mars, Incorporated in late 2024, making Mars the ultimate owner of the brand heading into 2025 and beyond.
