The BOB brand is a staple of Swedish households, primarily known for its wide range of jams, marmalades, and fruit squashes (concentrates). Originally founded in Kumla, Sweden, in 1948, the brand name 'BOB' is actually an abbreviation for 'Billigt och Bra' (Cheap and Good), reflecting its post-war roots of providing high-quality fruit products at accessible prices.

Today, BOB is produced at Orkla's facility in Tollarp, Scania, maintaining its strong local connection to Swedish fruit processing. While the brand has deep Swedish heritage, it is now part of a larger international conglomerate. Since 1995, BOB has been owned by the Norwegian company Orkla ASA, which acquired it during the merger of Procordia Food with Abba and Nora. Orkla continues to manage the brand through its Swedish subsidiary, Orkla Foods Sverige.
