In early 2024, following insolvency proceedings, the Gigaset business, including its development and production facilities, was acquired by the VTech Holdings Limited. This acquisition marks a shift in ultimate ownership to Hong Kong, while the brand continues to leverage its German engineering heritage and 'Made in Germany' reputation for its high-end cordless telephony products.
