The brand was originally produced by Gallaher Limited in the United Kingdom. However, it underwent a significant change in corporate ownership when the Japanese multi-national firm Japan Tobacco acquired the Gallaher Group in 2007. This acquisition integrated the brand into the portfolio of JT International (JTI). Today, while the brand maintains a strong British heritage and primary market presence in the UK, its manufacturing occurs across global facilities operated by the JT Group, following international standardizations for their tobacco supply chain.
