Miller is an iconic American beer brand with a history dating back to 1855, when Frederick Miller purchased the Plank Road Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Often referred to as 'The Champagne of Beers,' the brand rose to global prominence as a flagship for American-style lagers and later pioneered the light beer category with the introduction of Miller Lite in the 1970s.

Over the decades, the ownership of Miller has undergone significant international consolidation. It was once owned by Philip Morris (now Altria), then merged with the South African entity SAB to form SABMiller in 2002. Later, a joint venture called MillerCoors was formed for the U.S. market. Following the acquisition of SABMiller by AB InBev, the Miller brand portfolio was fully acquired by Molson Coors to satisfy anti-trust regulations, making it a cornerstone of the North American beverage giant's holdings.

While its roots remain firmly in Milwaukee, the brand is now part of a global distribution network. Manufacturing takes place across various high-capacity breweries, predominantly in the United States, to serve its vast domestic and international markets under the stewardship of Molson Coors Beverage Company.
