Skol Original beer

Skol is a global beer brand with a complex history involving several international brewing giants. Originally created in 1964 as a joint venture between breweries from Britain, Canada, Sweden, and Belgium to create a worldwide beer brand, it has since evolved into one of the most recognized lager names in various markets, particularly in Brazil and parts of Europe.

Today, the ownership is split by geography. In most of Europe, including Romania (where the pictured bottle 'Dublu Filtrata' originates), the brand is owned and produced by the Carlsberg Group. In South America, it is under the control of AB InBev. The brand remains a staple in the international lager market, maintaining different recipes and branding strategies tailored to local consumer preferences while retaining the iconic name inspired by the Scandinavian toast 'Skål'.
