Nikšićko Pivo

Nikšićko Pivo is the most famous beer brand from Montenegro, originally founded in 1896 in the city of Nikšić. The beer is traditionally brewed by the Trebjesa Brewery (Pivara Trebjesa), which remains the sole brewery in the country. This lager is celebrated for its long-standing heritage and association with Montenegrin national identity.

Over the decades, the ownership of the brand has transitioned through several international brewing groups. Following a period under InBev and later StarBev, the brand and its production facility were acquired by the multinational drink and brewing company Molson Coors Beverage Company in 2012. Today, while it is part of a global portfolio, it continues to be produced primarily at its original home in Montenegro to supply the Balkan region and export markets.
