Sobranie is one of the world's oldest cigarette brands, established in London in 1879 by the Redstone family. Throughout its history, it was famously associated with the Russian Imperial Court and various royal houses across Europe, establishing its reputation as a premium, luxury tobacco brand.

Today, the brand is owned and manufactured by Japan Tobacco International (JTI). While it has historical roots in the United Kingdom, manufacturing currently takes place in various global facilities owned by JTI to serve international markets. The brand is particularly well-known for its luxury variants, such as the Sobranie Black Russian and Sobranie Cocktail, which feature distinctive gold foil filters and colored papers.
