Pringles is an iconic brand of potato and wheat-based stackable snack chips. Originally developed by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in the United States during the 1960s, the brand was created to address consumer complaints about broken chips and air in bags. The unique hyperbolic paraboloid shape and cylindrical can became hallmarks of the brand.
In 2012, P&G sold Pringles to Kellogg Company, which later underwent a corporate separation in 2023. This resulted in Pringles being housed under Kellanova, a company focused on global snacking, international cereal and noodles, and North American frozen foods. While the brand originated in the USA, it is now manufactured in numerous facilities worldwide to serve different regions, including major plants in Belgium, Poland, and Malaysia.
