This image shows the underside of a porcelain figurine, featuring the distinct marks of the W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik. Based on the visible 'Bee' mark (specifically the TMK-2 'Full Bee' or 'Small Bee' style used between 1950 and 1959) and the model numbers incised in the ceramic, this is an authentic vintage Hummel figurine produced in Rödental, Germany.
Goebel was founded in 1871 by Franz Detleff and William Goebel. The brand rose to international fame starting in 1935 through its partnership with Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel, whose drawings served as the basis for the beloved children's figurines. Following financial restructuring in the 21st century, the production of Hummel figurines was eventually licensed to the Hummel Manufaktur GmbH, while the Goebel brand itself continues to operate under Goebel Porzellan GmbH as part of the PM-Holding group.
