Raidlight is a pioneer in the trail running world, founded in 1999 by Benoît Laval, a world-class trail runner and textile engineer. The brand originated in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, France, where it established its headquarters and an 'Outdoor Lab' dedicated to research and development. Raidlight is renowned for its lightweight, technical equipment and its 'Made in France' collection, though some of its global inventory is manufactured internationally to meet demand.

In 2016, Raidlight was acquired by the Rossignol Group, a major player in the winter sports industry. However, in 2020, the brand returned to its roots when Benoît Laval reacquired the company with the support of private investors. As of the current trajectory towards 2026, Raidlight remains an independent French company focused on sustainability, innovation, and community-driven product design.
