Trident Mint Gum

Trident is a world-renowned brand of sugar-free chewing gum. It was originally introduced in 1960 by the American Chicle Company as one of the first sugarless gums designed to promote dental health. Its name is derived from the 'three' enzymes once claimed to help fight tartar (tri-dent).

Today, the brand is owned by Mondelez International, a global snack food powerhouse. While originally an American brand, Trident is now manufactured in various facilities around the world to serve different regional markets. The European and North American operations for Trident were part of a major divestiture where some gum brands changed hands, but Mondelez remains the primary global owner for the majority of these international markets, particularly within the 2024-2026 timeframe.
