The iconic white and blue ceramic jar with floral decorations is synonymous with Amarena Fabbri, a staple of Italian confectionery excellence. Founded in 1905 by Gennaro Fabbri in Bologna, Italy, the brand became world-famous for its wild cherries in syrup.
Starting in the 1920s, the brand introduced the distinctive ceramic jar, commissioned from the Gatti furnace in Faenza, which has since become its corporate symbol. Today, Fabbri 1905 SPA remains an independent, family-owned Italian business headquartered in Bologna, continuing to produce its cherries and syrups in Italy for the global market.
