Ultimate Ears, often abbreviated as UE, is a brand that revolutionized the pro-audio and consumer electronics space. Originally founded in 1995 by Mindy and Jerry Harvey, the company first gained fame for creating high-end custom in-ear monitors for touring musicians. This innovation allowed performers to hear their music more clearly on stage, eventually leading the brand to expand into the mainstream consumer market.
In 2008, the brand was acquired by the Swiss tech giant Logitech, which repositioned Ultimate Ears as a leader in the portable Bluetooth speaker market. Today, UE is widely known for its rugged, waterproof, and high-performance speakers such as the BOOM, MEGABOOM, and WONDERBOOM series. While the engineering and design are led by Logitech's global teams, the manufacturing is primarily carried out in China to meet global demand.
Under Logitech's ownership, Ultimate Ears has flourished into a household name for durable audio gear. The brand continues to benefit from Logitech's extensive distribution network and research facilities, maintaining its position as a premium choice for outdoor and portable audio solutions.
