Simple is a UK-based brand of skincare and personal care products, originally designed for sensitive skin. It was founded in 1960 by the Albion Group. The brand’s philosophy has always centered on providing products that are 'kind to skin' by avoiding harsh chemicals, perfumes, and dyes, making it a household name in the United Kingdom.
Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through several major corporations. It was acquired by Smith & Nephew in the 1980s, followed by a move to the pharmaceutical group Alberto-Culver in 2009. In 2010, the consumer goods giant Unilever acquired Alberto-Culver, bringing Simple into its global portfolio. Today, Simple is a leading skincare brand managed by Unilever, with products manufactured in various global locations to meet international demand while maintaining its British heritage.
