Tommy Hilfiger is an iconic American heritage brand established in 1985 by its namesake designer. Known for its "preppy with a twist" aesthetic, it quickly grew into a global fashion powerhouse. While it started as a clothing line, its accessories, including leather wallets like the one pictured, are major components of its global retail presence.
Today, Tommy Hilfiger is a subsidiary of PVH Corp. (formerly Phillips-Van Heusen), one of the largest apparel companies in the world. Ownership shifted from the founder and several private equity firms before being acquired by PVH in 2010. While the brand management and design direction remain centralized, manufacturing of leather goods is outsourced to a global network of partners, primarily across Asia and Eastern Europe, in countries such as China, India, and Vietnam.
