La Casera is an iconic Spanish beverage brand, best known for its 'gaseosa' (sweetened carbonated water). It was founded in 1949 by the Duffo family and quickly became a staple in Spanish households, often mixed with wine to create 'tinto de verano'.
The product is primarily manufactured in Spain to supply its core Mediterranean market. Since 2001, the brand has been part of the Schweppes International portfolio. Today, it is owned by the Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational Suntory Group. This ownership transition has allowed the brand to maintain its traditional Spanish identity while benefiting from a global distribution network and corporate resources.
