Opavia Zlaté Esíčka are traditional S-shaped biscuits that are a staple in Central European snacking, particularly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The product features a mix of cinnamon and cocoa-flavored cookies. The Opavia brand traces its heritage back to 1840, when Kaspar Fiedor and his wife Amalie founded a family bakery in the city of Opava. Over the 19th and 20th centuries, the business evolved into an industrial scale producer and survived nationalization during the socialist era of Czechoslovakia.

Following the privatization processes in the 1990s, the brand was initially managed as a joint venture between Danone and Nestlé before eventually becoming part of the Kraft Foods portfolio. In 2012, after Kraft Foods split its operations, Opavia became a key asset of Mondelēz International. Today, the product is primarily manufactured in the Czech Republic, specifically at highly automated factories in Opava, which remains one of Europe's largest biscuit production facilities. While now part of a global American conglomerate, Opavia is maintained as a heritage brand that emphasizes its local Czech roots and traditional recipes.
