The product shown in the image is a set of light switches from the Tango series, which is one of the most popular and iconic designs of electrical installation material in the Czech Republic. It was originally designed by academic sculptor Jiří Pelcl in the 1990s and has since become a standard in Czech households and offices due to its timeless design and reliability.
These switches are manufactured in the Czech Republic at the ABB plant in Jablonec nad Nisou. This facility has a long history of producing electrical components, dating back to the Elektra and later Electro-Praga National Enterprise. Today, it remains a key production hub for the region.
While the brand has deep Czech roots, it is currently owned by ABB (Asea Brown Boveri), a Swedish-Swiss multinational corporation specializing in robotics, power, heavy electrical equipment, and automation technology. ABB acquired the Jablonec factory to strengthen its position in the Central European market, maintaining the local brand identity while integrating it into its global technology portfolio.
