Caffè Mauro is a prestigious Italian coffee brand established in 1949 by Demetrio Mauro in Reggio Calabria, Italy. The brand is renowned for its 'slow roasting' process, which ensures the aromatic properties of the beans are fully preserved. While the raw coffee beans are sourced from regions in South and Central America as indicated on the packaging, the production, blending, and roasting processes are strictly carried out in Italy. In 2022, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by Gimoka Group (Gruppo Gimoka), another major player in the Italian coffee industry based in Lombardy. This acquisition was aimed at strengthening the brand's international presence while maintaining its traditional Calabrian roots and high manufacturing standards.
