Cockta is an iconic herbal soft drink original to the former Yugoslavia. It was first created in 1953 by Emerik Zelinka at Slovenijavino and quickly became a cultural staple as a local alternative to American colas. Unlike traditional colas, Cockta is made from a blend of eleven different herbs, with rosehip providing its primary characteristic flavor, and it contains no caffeine or orthophosphoric acid.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership has evolved along with the region's geopolitical shifts. Originally a Slovenian product, it was owned by Kolinska and later Droga Kolinska. In 2010, the regional conglomerate Atlantic Grupa, headquartered in Croatia, acquired Droga Kolinska, making them the ultimate owners of the brand. Manufacturing is strategically distributed across the Balkans to serve local markets, with significant production facilities located in both Serbia and Slovenia.
