Eisenbahn is a renowned Brazilian craft brewery originally founded in 2002 in Blumenau, Santa Catarina. The brand was created by the Schadrack family with the mission of bringing traditional European brewing standards—specifically the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot)—to the Brazilian market. Its name, 'Eisenbahn,' is German for 'Railway,' a tribute to the historic railway line located near the original brewery site.
Over the years, the brand transitioned from a small-scale family operation to a major player in the premium beer segment. In 2008, it was acquired by Schincariol, which was later purchased by the Japanese group Kirin in 2011. In 2017, the Heineken Group acquired Brasil Kirin, making Eisenbahn a core part of the Heineken portfolio in Brazil. Today, while it maintains its craft image and traditional recipes, it is produced in several Heineken-owned industrial plants across Brazil to meet national demand.
