Most Semp televisions are manufactured in the Manaus Free Trade Zone (Zona Franca de Manaus) in Brazil, catering specifically to the local market.

In recent years, the brand's trajectory shifted when Semp ended its partnership with Toshiba and entered a new joint venture with the Chinese giant TCL, forming Semp TCL. Today, the brand's products are an integration of Chinese technological advancement and Semp's deep-rooted presence in the Brazilian consumer landscape. While brand ownership is shared through the SEMP TCL joint venture, the strategic direction is heavily influenced by TCL's global headquarters in China.
