Schulstad is one of Denmark's most iconic bakery brands, originally founded in Copenhagen in 1880 by Viggo Schulstad. Over more than a century, it has become a staple of the Danish breakfast table and lunchbox, known for its rye bread and soft rolls.
Today, the brand is owned by the Lantmännen Unibake group, a Swedish agricultural cooperative. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Danish baking traditions, its ultimate owner, Lantmännen, is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Most Schulstad products sold in the Danish market, including these 'Det Gode Mums' sweet buns, are produced at Schulstad's large-scale bakeries located within Denmark (notably in Hvidovre and Holstebro) to ensure freshness and regional authenticity.
