The Honor 90 Smart is a budget-friendly smartphone from Honor, designed to offer core modern features at an accessible price point. The brand, Honor, was originally established in 2013 as a sub-brand of the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei. It was created to focus on younger consumers with an online-first strategy, primarily selling mid-range and budget devices.
In November 2020, to ensure the brand's survival amidst trade restrictions facing its parent company, Huawei sold Honor to a consortium of over 30 agents and dealers known as Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd. This move allowed Honor to operate independently, regain access to global supply chains, and resume partnerships with companies like Google and Qualcomm.
Manufacturing for Honor devices primarily takes place in China, leveraging the extensive electronics manufacturing infrastructure in Shenzhen and surrounding regions. Today, Honor operates as an independent global brand, continuing its mission to deliver high-quality technology to a diverse international market.
