Yum Yum is a world-renowned brand of instant noodles that originated in Thailand in 1971. It was founded by Wan Thai Foods Industry Company Limited, which remains the primary manufacturer. The brand is famous for bringing authentic Thai flavors to the global market, with a wide range of varieties including the beef-flavored (Hovězí) version pictured here, which is specifically packaged for the Czech market.
In terms of ownership, the brand is a joint venture between the Ajinomoto Group from Japan and the local Thai leadership. Ajinomoto, a global powerhouse in the food and amino science industry, holds a majority stake and oversees the brand's international distribution and growth. The noodles are primarily manufactured in Thailand at high-capacity facilities designed to meet strict international food safety standards.
Today, Yum Yum products are sold in more than 40 countries. In the Czech Republic, they are a staple in the instant noodle category, often distributed through major supermarket chains while maintaining their unique recipe that emphasizes traditional Southeast Asian seasonings.
