Orion chocolate bar

Orion is a historic Czech confectionery brand that has become a staple of the Central European snack market. Originally established in Prague in 1896 as a small family chocolate factory by František Maršner, the brand rose to prominence under the name Orion in 1924, becoming one of the most recognized chocolate producers in the former Czechoslovakia.

In the early 1990s, following the privatization process in the Czech Republic, the brand was acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestle. Today, Orion products are primarily manufactured in the 'Zora' plant in Olomouc, Czech Republic, where traditional recipes are maintained alongside modern production standards. The brand continues to focus on its regional heritage while benefiting from the global distribution and sustainability initiatives of its parent company, such as sourcing Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa.
