Horalky is an iconic Slovak peanut-filled wafer bar, recognized for its distinctive cocoa coating around the edges and its traditional mountain-themed packaging. Originally launched in 1965, the product has become a staple snack in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic, remaining one of the most popular confectionery items in the region for decades.
The product is manufactured by Sedita, which is the brand umbrella for the Sereď-based pastry facility. This facility is part of the I.D.C. Holding, a.s. group, the largest Slovak producer of confectionery and pastry products. In 2024, it was announced that I.D.C. Holding was being acquired by Valeo Foods Group, an international food business. This transition places the brand under a broader European corporate umbrella while maintaining its production roots in its original manufacturing site in Sereď, Slovakia.
