L&M is one of the most recognized cigarette brands in the world, originally established in the United States. The brand was created by the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company in 1953, with its name being derived from the initials of its founders. Since its inception, L&M has focused on providing a quality tobacco experience, often marketing itself as a choice for modern smokers.
Today, the brand is owned by Philip Morris International (PMI). While American in origin, the production for the European market, including the Czech Republic, primarily takes place in Poland. The L&M Loft series represents a more compact and modern take on their traditional offerings, featuring a thinner format and a refined tobacco blend.
Philip Morris International, headquartered in Switzerland after spinning off from the US-based Altria Group, remains the ultimate owner. In the Czech Republic, the brand is managed and distributed by Philip Morris ČR a.s., which is the local subsidiary responsible for the commercialization of PMI products in the region.
