VitaBrits is a classic Australian wheat biscuit breakfast cereal known for its low sugar content and high whole-grain composition. It was originally launched by the Uncle Tobys Company, a brand synonymous with Australian pantry staples since the late 19th century.
Today, VitaBrits is manufactured in Wahgunyah, Victoria, Australia. While it shares many similarities with other wheat biscuit cereals, it is marketed specifically for its nutritional profile, containing 99% whole grain and no added sugar.
Ownership of the brand transitioned through several corporate hands. Uncle Tobys was acquired by Goodman Fielder in the 1980s and was later sold to Cereal Partners Worldwide, a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills. Consequently, the brand is currently under the ultimate ownership of Nestlé, headquartered in Switzerland, through its local subsidiary CPW Australia.
