Neutrogena is a globally recognized skincare brand originally founded in the United States in 1930 by Emanuel Stolaroff. Initially known as Natone, it became Neutrogena Corporation in the 1960s after its signature transparent soap gained international acclaim. In 1994, the brand was acquired by Johnson & Johnson, which helped scale its distribution worldwide.

Following a corporate restructuring that began in 2023, the brand is now under the ownership of Kenvue Inc., the independent consumer health company spun off from Johnson & Johnson. For the South American market, products like the Body Care Intensive line are primarily manufactured in Brazil (notably in São José dos Campos) to serve the regional consumer base with localized formulas. Kenvue continues to manage Neutrogena as a premium dermatological brand headquartered in the United States.
