The Lexar Professional 800x is a high-performance CompactFlash (CF) memory card designed for professional photographers and videographers who require high-speed data transfer and reliability. Originally established in the United States, Lexar was founded in 1996 in San Jose, California, and quickly became a leading name in flash storage technology.

For much of its history, Lexar was a subsidiary of Micron Technology, but in 2017, the brand was acquired by Longsys, a prominent flash memory company based in Shenzhen, China. This acquisition marked a transition from American to Chinese ownership. Today, Lexar products are primarily manufactured in China at Longsys facilities, though global distribution and some assembly may occur in other regions.
