Tavernello is Italy's most famous and widely consumed table wine, renowned for being one of the first brands to introduce high-quality wine in convenient Tetra Pak packaging. Launched in 1983, it has become a staple of everyday Italian life and is currently the number one wine brand in Italy by volume.

The brand is owned and produced by Caviro, the largest wine cooperative in Italy. Founded in 1966 in Faenza, Caviro represents over 12,000 winegrowers across several Italian regions, including Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, and Sicily. This cooperative model allows small-scale farmers to pool their resources, ensuring sustainable production and consistent quality while keeping the product affordable.

Today, Tavernello is a global brand exported to over 80 countries. While it is primarily manufactured in Italy, its distribution is managed through various regional partners, such as Volio Imports in the United States. The company is highly regarded for its commitment to the circular economy, recycling nearly all waste from the winemaking process into energy and fertilizers.
